Graduate Student

Jake recently graduated from Pomona College and is a Master's student at the Perimeter Institute. Researching in the Hamma lab, Jake has computationally studied the transition between Clifford and random unitary circuits through the lens of quantum t-designs and is currently working on the classification of random quantum states.

Jonathan is an undergraduate at UMass Boston working on classifications of quantum states as operated on by random quantum circuits in the Hamma lab and the intersection of thermodynamics and information theory in the Green lab at UMass Boston. He has a strong interest in the convergence of mathematics and physics and plans to pursue a Ph.D. after graduation.

Joseph is an undergraduate at UMass Boston working on chaos characterization in random quantum circuits in the Hamma lab and black hole imaging with the Event Horizon Telescope Collaboration at Harvard. SARAH TRUE

Undergraduate

Sarah is an undergraduate at UMass Boston working on the analysis of temporal fluctuations of entanglement in random quantum circuits in the Hamma lab. Upon receiving her degree she plans to enroll in a Master’s program to continue exploring the overlap between physics and computer science
